Early Reading Teaching

early reading teaching
Do you think kids that learned to read early are better students? Can anyone argue against this?

I was taught to read before I went to school and I learned to love reading. I was always a good student and I noticed the same thing in one of my friends also. I have also noticed people who don’t like to read or learned to read later on did worse in school or they simply didn’t like it. What do you think?

Well Angel, it would depend on several things>> you can be an excellent reader as far as turning the pages, but if you don’t comprehend/understand what you’re reading, then it won’t make you a better student. Also, the reading of something doesn’t necessarily mean you commit it to memory & are able to recall it later. That’s a learning technique.

And lastly, should you find the subject matter dull & boring as many textbooks are dry & drone on, you have little interest in pursuing the subject matter. And the same for the teacher>> only some can really inspire you to greatness.

A good author will find a way to stimulate your interest. A great author will leave you wanting more. There are many good authors, but only a few great ones>> John Steinbeck was one of the greats.
